This policy explains how T&C Plaster, being T&C Residential Pty Ltd (ABN 69 631 474 641) and T&C Commercial Pty Ltd (ABN 29 607 348 890) (we, us, our), handles personal information collected through tandcplaster.com.au and in the course of our business. We comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
1. What we collect
Depending on how you deal with us, we may collect:
- Enquiries and quote requests: your name, email address, phone number and the details of your project.
- Subcontractor applications: your name, business and ABN details, address, contact details, licence and insurance details, superannuation and leave details, bank account details for payment, and your signature.
- Website usage information: technical information such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and how you arrived at our site, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).
2. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote and deliver our services.
- To assess and manage subcontractor applications and pay subcontractors.
- To meet our legal, licensing, insurance, safety and tax obligations.
- To understand how our website is used and to improve it.
We do not sell your personal information.
3. Who we share it with
We share personal information only where needed, for example with our staff and supervisors, our accountants and payroll or payment providers, insurers, licensing bodies where required by law, and service providers who host our website, provide email or help us understand website traffic (such as Google). These providers may be located outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information appropriately.
4. Storage and security
Enquiries submitted through this website are emailed to our office and a limited copy (your name, contact details and message) is stored securely in our website system. Banking details submitted through the subcontractor form are sent to our office by email and are not stored in our website database. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.
5. Cookies and analytics
We use Google Tag Manager and related Google tools to measure how visitors use our website (for example, how many people submit a form or call us). These tools use cookies and similar technologies and collect information such as your IP address and pages visited. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on. Blocking cookies will not stop you using our site.
6. Access and correction
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us at the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, normally 30 days. We may need to verify your identity first.
7. Complaints
If you think we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us in writing. We will investigate and reply promptly. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
